COVID-19 School-Age Tuition Assistance for Working Families
Families can now apply for child care tuition assistance to help with care for children who have remote learning schedules due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Families can apply for this assistance by completing the online application at www.ChildCareNJ.gov. Those applying will need proof of income and a notice or announcement from their child’s school of a remote learning schedule. Funds will be available through an application process that will open in the upcoming weeks through the New Jersey Child Care Information System (NJCCIS).

Community Development Block Grant-CV Emergency Rental Relief (CDBG-CV ERR) Program

Somerset County has established an Emergency Rental Relief Program for County households that had a loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Applicants may be eligible for up to 3 months’ rent or $3,000.00, whichever is less, for payment toward rent that is owed.  Payments will be issued directly to the landlord.  Note that this program is funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and as a result, residents of Franklin Township, which has its own CDBG program, are not eligible.
